Beau discovered that he could destory the flowers with this stick, and that it was a ton of fun.

Nicole hand made some tie-dyed shirts for Beau, I like this one the best because it is a nice cross between bleeding gunshot wound and shark bite victim.

Beau’s favorite room in the house is our spare room which we have basically given to our cat. Her litter box and food are in here, along with random things that can’t be stored anywhere else, strollers, purses, xmas decorations, etc.

Beau enjoys inspecting her food every couple hours, and really likes it when she is eating, as he can stand right next to her and pet her/pull her fur while she eats.

This photo is from Mother’s Day last year.  I remember waking up that day and thinking that Mother’s Day was the best holiday of the year.  It felt so deserved.  I had given birth to a healthy baby boy and taken care of him for months as his dad worked nights and while living 3,000 miles away from our families.  I remember feeling so incredibly proud of myself and what I was able to do. 

This year is a bit of the opposite.  I’m feeling overwhelmed with everything related to motherhood and constantly finding myself questioning my abilities to care for a toddler and a newborn.  It’s a horrible, all-consuming, doubt that comes whenever Beau buries his face in my legs in the middle of a tantrum or I have a strong kick from Maverick that stops me in my tracks.  I can’t stop thinking, how am I supposed to do this?  And today was Mother’s day but unlike last year, I feel like I don’t deserve a holiday at all.

Beau really likes the sand pit at the park, he enjoys carrying sand from it to this little play house and spreading it all around, because the only thing better than a sand pit, is sand EVERYWHERE.
